TITLE: TUTORIAL SLIDES ON PHYSICAL DESIGN OF VLSI
This tutorial covers physical design algorithms used to implement
integrated circuits. The powerpoint slides are divided into five
parts: technology and methodology context setting; fundamental
physical design formulation and algorithms; interaction with
upstream floorplanning and logic synthesis; interaction with
extraction, analysis and performance validation; and linkage to
custom layout. For several years, it has been presented at ICCAD
in San Jose in November by Stan Chow (Ammocore), Andrew Kahng
(UCSD) and Majid Sarrafzadeh (UCLA).
