TITLE: MULTIPHYSICS MODELING SOFTWARE

FEMLAB is a modeling and simulation software for scientific and
engineering problems based on partial differential equations. It
runs on top of MATLAB and allows collaboration between FEMLAB
models and the MATLAB toolboxes (such as Simulink), while FEMLAB
code can also be directly manipulated from this environment.

FEMLAB has a suite of solvers that are able to solve arbitrarily
specified systems of nonlinear PDEs, which can also be freely
coupled to other systems. Besides its use in solving general
multiphysics problems, FEMLAB provides specialized modules in the
following applications areas:

Electromagnetics
Chemical Engineering and Transport Phenomena
Structural Mechanics

Since its release 4 years ago, FEMLAB models have been successfully
implemented in the areas of:
  - Electrostatics and quasi-electrostatics for, e.g., the
transient and harmonic behavior of electric machines
  - Electromagnetic wave propagation for, e.g., waveguides and
    photonic devices
  - Coupling of electromagnetics and heat transfer for, e.g., the
    microwave sintering of ceramics
  - Eigenmode analysis and frequency domain simulation
