TITLE: SYSTEM-ON-CHIP DESIGN SERVICES

QThink provides system-on-chip (SoC) design services and has been
designated a certified design center by Patriot Scientific
Corporation. In 2002, QThink successfully completed a 7.25
million-gate SoC chip for a low-power wireless multimedia
application. The design included integrating both customer
proprietary and third-party commercial IP (22 sub-blocks plus an
ARM9 core) and was successfully taped-out to a commercial 0.13-
micron, 6-level metal, single-polysilicon technology. The
resulting core-limited die size was 40 mm2. QThink used its
Constraint-Driven methodology along with commercially available
EDA tools to complete this project. QThink has also successfully
completed an 8-million-gate digital chip for a fiber-optic
networking application. The design included integrating
approximately 1.9-million placeable instances and was taped-out
to a commercial 0.18-micron, 6-level metal, single-polysilicon
technology. The design included three-levels of design hierarchy,
13 sub-blocks, 14 clock domains, 800 IOs and integration of
1.3Mbits of macrocells. The resulting core-limited die size was
350mm2.
