TITLE: IBERO-AMERICAN BOOKS ON MICROELECTRONICS EDUCATION

An Ibero-American effort to help the development of
microelectronic skills in Ibero-America is under development.
Several universities have been working together to organize joint
research and courses and to publish a series of books in the
microelectronics field, using Spanish and Portuguese.

The Ibero-American High-Level Digital Design Net (HLDDN) (Rede
Digital a Alto Nivel) was created in 1996 as part of the Science
and Technology for the Development Program (Ciencia Y Tecnologia
para el Desarollo, CYTED), an Ibero-American S&T Program.
Participants include: Microelectronics National Center (Spain),
Barcelona Autonomous University (Spain), La Plata University
(Argentina), CINVESTAV (Mexico), Federal University of Rio Grande
do Sul (Brazil), Sao Paulo University (Brazil) and Los Andes
University (Columbia).

The first four books published are:

Techniques and Technologies for High Level Design: VHDL
   (Spanish)

Elements for a High Level Design (Spanish)

Physical Synthesis of Integrated Circuits (Portuguese)

   VLSI Design Methodologies (Spanish)
