TITLE: Rapid Design and Re-Use of Analog Circuits

Neolinear, with deep roots from nearby Carnegie Mellon University
in Pittsburgh, is a 75-person firm which offers electronic design
automation software that facilitates the development of analog,
RF and mixed-signal circuits. With the increase in the number of
ASICs which include mixed-signal circuits from today's 25% to 70%
in the next five years, it is imperative that analog design be
more productive than in the past. Neolinear's product line
includes a specification driven circuit sizing and optimization
engine, yield analysis and optimization engine, layout topology
planning and an automatic place and route engine. The
methodology dramatically accelerates designer productivity and
enables design re-use. The company was recently acquired by
Cadence Design Systems, Inc. to strengthen its mixed-signal
Virtuoso analog-mixed-signal design platform.
