unveiled its new strategic plan to broaden its role in the
support of the development of microelectronic systems.
Goals of the plan include:
--Enhance and support Canadian education, research & development in
microsystems.
--Build an integrated multisectoral community of microsystems innovators.
--Stimulate increased microsystems prototype development for commercial and
social purposes.
--Enable synergy among Canada's microsystems innovators, funding programs,
innovation initiatives & the public.
The plan recognizes the need for multidisciplinary initiatives and the
formation of teams which may include international participation.
