TITLE: Implementing DSP Applications Using Simulink and FPGAs/ASICs

Many designers use Simulink for design entry and simulation of
digital signal processing (DSP) applications. They then target
FPGA and ASIC hardware for efficient and parallel implementation
of DSP functions. Xilinx and Altera offer Simulink libraries and
tools that enable these designs to be implemented in their
respective FPGAs. The Xilinx toolset is called SysGen and the
Altera toolset is called DSP-Builder. Synplicity offers similar
libraries and tools (Synplify-DSP) but permits retargeting to any
FPGA or ASIC device.
