VHDL Initiative Towards ASIC Libraries (VITAL) is an open effort
to build high quality ASIC libraries described in the VHDL language.
Over the next few months, simulation vendors will upgrade their respective
VHDL simulators to comply fully with the new standard.
Library developers have begun development of VITAL 3.0 compliant 
libraries by downloading these packages and compiling them for use 
with their existing tools.
