Intel PLD Product Line Acquired by Altera

Altera Corp. has acquired Intel's entire programmable logic  line
including  PAL/GAL  equivalents,  22V10s,  the  FLEXlogic  FX740,
FX780, and FX8160, and the EP310, EP320, EP600, EP900 and EP1800.
The  FLEXlogic  FX740,  FX780, and FX8160 devices offer in-system
programmability   (EPROM/FLASH),   in-circuit   Reconfigurability
(SRAM),  on-  board  SRAM,  PCI compliance, JTAG, user selectable
3.3V or 5.0V I/O, and 10ns pin-to-pin propagation delays.

Altera will offer and support Intel's PLDshell  Plus  development
software.
