CALL FOR PAPERS INTEGRATED COMPUTER-AIDED ENGINEERING
SPECIAL ISSUE:
Computer-Aided Design of Mixed-Signal
Communication and Computing Systems
ICAE
Improved techniques for computer-aided design of mixed-signal
systems (integrating digital, analog, and/or RF circuitry) for
use in communication and computing applications are critical
because of the move toward further integration of systems for
higher performance and more compact designs. Successful chip-
level and board-level integration of digital, analog, and/or RF
circuitry requires advancement and integration of CAD tools for
design, layout, and testing. Papers are sought for this special
issue which describe innovative techniques, algorithms, and tools
for solving the difficult problems encountered in designing and
fabricating mixed signal systems. In addition, novel industrial
applications are welcomed.
Example topics of interest include, but are not limited to CAD
algorithms and tools for all design phases from architectural
specification through transistor-level design, layout, and
fabrication; simulation algorithms and tools for performance
prediction, functional verification, and testing; approaches for
testing mixed signal designs; approaches for integrating CAD
environments using currently available individual CAD tools for
digital design, analog design, and/or RF design; data-sharing
techniques between different CAD tools; noise prediction and/or
avoidance techniques in mixed-signal design; and novel industrial
applications that have successfully designed and implemented
complex mixed-signal computing and communication systems;
Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering is a prestigious, peer-
reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that publishes original
research papers and novel industrial applications that integrate
leading- edge and emerging computer technologies for solving
complex engineering problems.
