TITLE: VHDL INTERNATIONAL

VHDL International (VI) is an organization dedicated to
cooperatively and proactively promoting the Very High Speed
Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) Hardware Description Language (VHDL)
as a standard worldwide language for the design and description
of electronic systems. Founded in 1991, VI provides educational
information to electronic systems designers, semiconductor
suppliers, EDA companies and other industry organizations on
model availability, tool interoperability, methodologies and
verification compliance. It facilitates VHDL efforts and
coordinates ongoing activities to support the advancement of the
language. Its subcommittees include: the Technical Advisory
Committee (TAC), chartered to identify barriers for adoption of
VHDL; the Marketing Advisory Committee (MAC) which focuses on
marketing the language and the organization, as well as
maintaining accurate market research; and the VI Users Forum
(VIUF), which helps educate the design community on VHDL and
hosts the user conference.
