TITLE: REVIEW OF DISTANCE LEARNING

An extensive scientific review of distance learning using
educational television is available at: REVIEW

The findings indicate that learner achievement is the same or
better in the video courses as in traditional face-to-face
classes.

The student's perception of interaction in the video course is
the major contributor to learner satisfaction. This determines
how likely a student is to recommend the course to another
student or to register for another distance learning course
himself.

It is interesting to note that learner satisfaction appears to be
uncorrelated with learner achievement. So, a student may do well
in a video course even though he doesn't like the method of
delivery.
