Experience:
1969 to 1983 :     at Tennessee Valley Authority, as a geologist and computer programmer. I made maps, developed databases, edited a newsletter, wrote Fortran programs, helped with public information requests, helped with environmental impact statements, wrote an information handbook about ground water heat pumps in the TVA Region, and worked on geological aspects of numerous projects. I also took numerous short courses at TVA on computer operations.
 
1983 to 1994 :     full time mother, Brownie Troop Leader, Jr Pro Basketball Coach, and in 1986 received Romance Writer's of America award for best book length fiction by unpublished author, category "inspirational romance".
 
1995 to 1998 :     pursuit of Master's degree in Computer Science. Helped develop CS100 introductory course with online tools, plus wrote the CS100 Lab Manual [over 100 pages]. In 1997 received DuPont award for Excellence in Teaching.
 
1998 to 1999 :     Programmer at Innovative Computing Laboratories, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Java, C, Java Native Interface, hardware performance, code optimization, web page development.
 
1999 to 2000:     Web and Database programmer at Ntown.com, Knoxville. Perl, Javascript, HTML, Acess97, SQL 6.5 team work with management, artists, system adminstrators optimization, web page development.
 
Summer 2000:     Computer programmer/Webmaster for the Community Health and Research Group at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Coordinate efforts of statisticians, geographers, and health researchers to create a user-friendly web-site to access and present health data using SAS for the State of Tennessee.
 
August 2000 to August 2006:     Programmer at Marketlinx.com. Software design and implementation for multi-tier website in a team environment. ASP, ADO, Javascript, Visual Basic, Transact SQL, XML, XSLT. Database responsibilities include data import, data export, writing stored procedures, writing packages, performance analysis with MS Query Analyzer. I have built several databases from scratch using Sql7 Enterprise Manager tools.
 
September 2006 to present:     IT Administrator II for the Digital Library Center, University of Tennessee Libraries, Knoxville, Tennessee. Helping to bring books and archival materials online.
