·         6 – Induction motors:

o   principles, applications and equivalent circuits (Chapters 13-15) (slides: part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4)

·         7 – Synchronous machines:

o   synchronous generators and motors, other motors (Chapters 16-17) (slides: part 1, part 2, part 3)

·         8 - Fundamentals of power electronics:

o   diodes, thyristors, switching converters (Chapter 21) (slides: part 1, part 2, part 3)

·         9 - Overview of power system analysis and emerging issues (slides)

Final exam covering Sections 6-9

·         Laboratory exercises: 1) transformer voltage regulation, (2) induction motor, (3) synchronous motor

Final Exam covering Sections 6-8 is scheduled on 12/5 (Mon) morning at 8:00-10:00AM in MK405 (closed book test: only a calculator and two double-side letter-size summary sheets are allowed) (summary, 2016 solution)
