Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, every
student should have gained:
1. A broad familiarity with the
fundamental principles of basic electric energy system components.
2. An understanding of the equipment
needed for generation and delivery of bulk electric energy and basic
steady-state analysis methods for power systems.

history, power industry, generation,
transmission and distribution of energy (Chapters 24, 25.0-25.1 & 26,

2 - Fundamentals of electrical circuits:
o
circuits, AC power, phasors,
three-phase systems (Chapters 2,7&8) (slides: part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4)
