Overview

This class is intended for graduate students who would like to learn about graph algorithms, applications and implementations. Lectures will be largely devoted to guided discussions. Participants will be expected to complete homework and reading assignments. Three hours credit will be given.

Students in any academic discipline are welcomed. A basic interest in practical issues in data science is expected. Familiarity with one or more programming languages will be needed. Prior background knowledge in graph theory is encouraged but not required.

This course is listed as CS 594, Section 002. Undergraduate students may also enroll, in which case they should register for CS 494, Section 003.
