Although the LUCAS interface was designed to be used with a minimal
amount of documentation, there are some LUCAS interactions which may
require additional explanation. The LUCAS interface supports an on-line
help facility. Each Help submenu provides an explanation of the
particular interface's displayed information and the interaction of
the interface's components. The interfaces included in the help
subsystem include:
- Setup Menu,
- Status Window configuration,
- GRASS Monitor Configuration, and
- Graphs.
In accordance with the OSF/Motif Style Guide, the Help menu pane
is located in the rightmost location on the menu bar by setting the
XmNmenuHelpWidget resource.
On-line help is implemented by displaying an ASCII text help file when
the user
chooses the Help button. There is a separate help file for each
Help
choice in the LUCAS menus.
