Course Requirements and Grading
- There will be a midterm exam and a final exam.
- Homework will be assigned on a regular basis.
The final course grade will be calculated as
where
- H = homework grade
- M = (midterm grade + MAX(midterm grade, final grade)) / 2
- F = final exam grade
For example, a student who scores 70 on the midterm, 90 on the final, and 75 on the homework will have an overall score of
10%(75) + 40%((70 + MAX(70,90)) / 2) + 50%(90) = 84.5
