Using BLACS and MPI in ScaLAPACK: Discussion of why the BLACS are normally used in ScaLAPACK rather than direct MPI calls.
Outstanding Issues in the MPIBLACS: Discussion of some outstanding issues for the alpha test release of the BLACS written on top of MPI
Some Plebian Extensions to MPI: Discussion on how some outstanding BLACS issues could be resolved by refining the MPI standard to better handle library level programming.
