Five Spice Chicken Legs
From Gourmet magazine, March, 2000. Frankly, this is kinda
bland in my opinion. Probably better the next day. Regardless, this
is a good way to make chicken legs/thighs. It would probably be fine
with barbecue sauce, or any other thick sauce.
Ingredients
- Four leg quarters (thighs and legs), separated.
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 500F.
Combine the powder and sauce and spread it all over the chicken
pieces. Put the pieces in a baking dish lined with aluminum
foil. Bake on the top shelf of the oven for 25-30 minutes, until
the chicken is dark on the top, and done. Enjoy.
