Indian Stuffed Okra

Wash and dry okra thoroughly and cut off the stalks and tips. Make a slit in the center of each. Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl and stuff the mixture into the slit. Heat the oil in a heavy frying pan and gently add the stuffed okra. cover and braise until soft, occasionally turning gently. Serve sprinkled with some finely chopped tomatoes.
