Taco Dressing
Recipe from Jim Plank / Heather Booth.
This is our attempt to duplicate the taco dressing from
Pancho's mexican restaurant in Memphis.
This one is less sweet and less yellow, but does the job.
Use it to moisten the lettuce in tacos, tostadas, etc.
It's also excellent in burritos.
(note from 2007:) I've received email that Poncho's dressing has oregano
listed in the ingredients, so make use of that information
as best you can -- Enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
- Dash cayenne
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1/2 cup corn oil
Directions
Mix. Serve.
