Overview

This class is intended for graduate students who would like to learn about graph algorithms, applications, and implementations. Lectures will be largely devoted to guided discussions. Participants will be expected to complete homework, reading assignments, and a class project. Three hours credit will be given.

Students in any academic discipline are welcomed. A basic interest in practical issues in computer and data science is expected. Familiarity with one or more programming languages will be needed. Prior background knowledge in graph theory is encouraged but not required.

To enroll, register for CS 594, Section 002. Graduate students in need of 6xx-level credit may register instead for CS 690, Section 001. Undergraduate students are currently permitted to take up to three graduate courses, and are welcomed as well.
