Accommodations

The symposium will take place at the Hilton Knoxville, which is the recommended hotel during DARS 2000. A block of rooms has been reserved for DARS 2000 attendees at the rate of $59 for a single room and $79 for a double room, plus 16% tax.

To reserve a room, contact the hotel directly at the number listed below, and ask for the room block for "DARS". The cutoff date to reserve a room is September 15, 2000. Reservations after this date will be accepted on a space availability basis only. Reserved rooms may be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to the day of arrival without charge.

Transportation

By Plane: Knoxville, Tennessee can be reached by flying into Knoxville's McGhee Tyson airport (airport code "TYS"), located 15 miles from the DARS 2000 site at the Knoxville Hilton. Rental cars are available at the airport. Recommended transportation from the airport to the Knoxville Hilton is by taxi, which is available from the lower level of the airport. The cost to travel one-way from the airport to the downtown Knoxville Hilton is $19.
